Since the new year, we have been delighted to see lots of forklifts come through our UK works destined for operation across France. Not only is it great to see an increasing level of activity for Pyroban in France, but we have finally put our post BREXIT logistics into practice following years of uncertainty and planning, and the results are amazing.

It is fair to say that we were not expecting such a great resolution for the logistics and transport of EU-UK-EU bound trucks following BREXIT. Yet somehow we believe it is now better than ever for our customers.

This image is a recent example of an explosion proof Fenwick forklift truck ready for transport. It was built in Germany, sent to France, then transported from France to the UK for ATEX conversion at the new Pyroban facility in Shoreham by Sea, West Sussex.

Sales Manager Virginie Waldron is seen here sitting on the completed ATEX compliant Fenwick H20 EVO before its return journey to France.

Transport as “easy as one-two-three” for customers

Pyroban is now providing a complete transport service for trucks coming from the EU to the UK and then going back again to the EU.

All transport paperwork to and from the UK factory is now all taken care of by Pyroban, which in the past (before BREXIT) would still have taken a long time for forklift OEMs and dealers.

The transport costs are also even more competitive than they were before BREXIT and the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Fenwick diesel counterbalance forklift seen here has been converted for Zone 2 operation featuring system6000. It is another interesting point that we are seeing increasing requests for active gas detection in Zone 2 in France as businesses look for solutions that alert the operators to the presence of flammable gas or vapour. Read our white paper here about the difference between active and passive solutions in Zone 2 hazardous areas.

Another point worth mentioning is that the conversion was faster than ever in our brand new production facility.
