ATEX Battery – Explosion Protection options

We offer various explosion protection batteries for use in hazardous areas including the ESB12, ESB24, ESB50, ESB55 and ESB75.

Explosion protection offshore battery – specification

ESB12 and ESB24 Pyroban explosion protection offshore batteries are designed for use in hazardous areas and are corrosion resistant with a 316 stainless casing. The 12V and 24V units contain deep cycle batteries protected with a 50A MCB isolator. These ATEX batteries are not suited to engine cranking applications. The ESB12 and ESB24 units include a circuit-breaker/isolator and optional terminal box.

  • AGM batteries
  • Contain deep cycle batteries
  • Optional junction box
  • Corrosion resistant

ATEX increased Safety Battery – Industrial Vehicles – specification

ESB50 and ESB75 increased safety ATEX batteries are designed for use in hazardous areas (ATEX directive 2014/34/EU & UK Regulation UKSI 2016 No.1107) and are mechanically protected by a robust painted steel casing (ESB75 only is available with a stainless casing). The ESB50 and ESB75 units are suited for high current engine cranking applications, such as industrial vehicles. The ESB55 battery is a deep cycle battery. The units may be used for either “gas” or “gas and dust” applications.
