Pioneer Safety Group brands joined together at this year’s Resource & Waste Management Expo (RWM Expo) at the NEC, UK, 17–18 September, demonstrating a range of solutions for solvent recovery and waste management operations, and for suppliers to the industry.
Information about all Pioneer Safety Group® solutions and brands were on show. Here’s a quick summary of some of the things we were talking about:
🔺 How to stop forklifts and other vehicles from being a source of ignition when handling flammable materials with Pyroban® ATEX conversions. This scale model created lots of attention and interest.
🔺 How waste management firms can improve safety processes and comply with DSEAR / ATEX through hazardous area classification, hazard assessments, audits and ATEX / DSEAR training through our EXSolutions brand.
🔺 How EXSolutions can help equipment OEMs and suppliers to the industry by taking a standard product and making it ATEX compliant so that it is safe for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
🔺 Petrel® explosion proof, high efficiency LED lights that are built for zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 hazardous areas were on display
🔺 Pyropress® explosion proof and intrinsically safe switches and transmitters that help keep processes in control were on show.
🔺 Ex-tech Signalling® sounders, beacons, buttons and manual call points are suitable for tough hazardous areas including waste management sites. They were clearly visible at the front of the stand as visitors passed.
🔺 For electrical control requirements, trust in the comprehensive range of Ex-tech Solution® explosion proof enclosures, control panels and components, and Ex enclosure population for hazardous areas. This enclosure created lots of discussion and interest.
RWM gave the Pioneer Safety Group team the opportunity to speak directly to UK waste management businesses and their suppliers about the different solutions and brands.
The show is described as “the ultimate destination for professionals across the entire resource supply chain. From large waste management businesses to independent operators, local authorities to industry and manufacturing.”
