Pyroban has appointed Matt Booth as its new Sales Manager for the UK focused on the materials handling sector.
He joins Pyroban with almost a decade of experience in the materials handling sector, from a previous role focused on providing safety solutions for lift trucks.
“Matt brings with him a wealth of industry experience, which we are confident will benefit our customers, as well our business,” says Darren Boiling, Materials Handling Sales Manager for Pyroban. “In fact, he already knows many of our customers, and is in the process of getting to know many more.”
Matt’s remit will include consultancy for businesses seeking explosion protection solutions, as well as supporting with presentations, site surveys, training, and customer support.
Matt joins the company as Rob Vesty, the current Sales Manager for the region, will retire at the end of the year following more than 20 years with Pyroban.
“I’ve been working closely with Rob to ensure a seamless handover for customers, and to extract as much of his experience as possible, so that I can fill his very successful boots right away,” says Matt, who is based in the Midlands. “I’m really looking forward to building relationships with existing customers and new ones.”
“There are still many businesses that don’t yet understand the potential explosion risks they may have on site, and I’m keen to help them improve safety,” he says, explaining that he will support businesses with all types of Ex-conversions for lift trucks operating in ATEX Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 areas.
This latest appointment at Pyroban follows an exciting year for the company in 2020, which included new product launches of Red Ex Line and Blue Ex Spot safety lights, changes to its senior management structure, and the re-development of its UK production facility to increase capacity for its state-of-the-art explosion protection conversions for materials handling and plant equipment.
