As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our expert team in Shoreham-by-Sea.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work on highly specialised engineering projects, designing electrical systems for equipment operating in potentially explosive atmospheres (ATEX / IECEx).
You’ll play a key role in both bespoke customer solutions and new product development, working closely with engineering and commercial teams to deliver innovative, compliant, and cost-effective designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for hazardous area applications (gas and dust environments)
- Produce electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical
- Integrate control and protection systems into complex machinery and engines
- Specify and select electrical components and systems
- Support compliance, testing, and product certification activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales and Engineering
- Provide technical expertise throughout the customer project lifecycle
About You
You’re a proactive and detail-oriented engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working in a collaborative environment.
You will bring:
- Experience in electrical system design and integration
- Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems
- Familiarity with PLCs or industrial control systems
- Experience using AutoCAD Electrical
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Desirable experience includes:
- Working within regulated or compliance-driven environments
- Knowledge of ATEX / IECEx standards
- Experience with AC/DC systems, CANbus, or EMC
Qualifications
- Degree or HND in Electrical, Electronic, or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent experience)
