System 5000D™
System 5000D is Pyroban's Active protection brand for all types of diesel equipment working in Zone 2 areas. The system continuously monitors for an explosive atmosphere and will shut the equipment down if necessary.
With full certification, System 5000D ensures all ignition sources protected but retains all the ergonomic and performance benefits of the original equipment.
All conversions take place at Pyroban factories or Pyroban licenced installers. Features include:
An active solution for diesel equipment in Zone 2
- System 5000D | Systems cover IIA or IIB, T3 or T4(option)
- Certification | Certified as Category 3G equipment for use in Zone 2 areas only
- Forced gas test | to ensure system integrity prior to operation.
- Audible and visible alarm | at 10% LEL followed by shutdown at 25%.
- Components assessed/modified | All arcing, sparking and hot components are risk assessed and fitted with restricted breathing enclosures to restrict the ingress of the flammable gas/vapour
- Temperature monitoring | of hot surfaces to T3 200°C or T4 135°C (including brakes and hydraulic fluid if necessary).
- Gas sensing head | is certified for use with gas groups IIA or IIB and is protected to IP54.
- Forks | clad in stainless steel
- Exhaust gases cooled | Water cooled exhaust gas cooler limits surface and exhaust temperatures to the specified temperature class.
- Shutdown valve | SVD inlet shutdown valve for automatic engine overspeed and manual shutdown
