Ex-tec 2G provides explosion protection for all types of electric equipment. The system does not detect a gas but works by enclosing all ignition sources.

Ex-Zone 1 areas.

All conversions take place at Pyroban factories or Pyroban licenced installers. Features include:

Extec 2G | Systems cover IIA or IIB, T3 or T4(option)
Certification | Certified as Category 2G equipment for use in Zone 1 areas (can also be used in Zone 2)
Motors | installed into explosion proof enclosures to EN 60079-1
Temperature monitoring | of hot surfaces to T3 200°C or T4 135°C (including brakes and hydraulic fluid if necessary).
Frame leakage monitoring | Highlights electrical failure before risk of ignition source

Motors, arcing and sparking components are placed in specially designed flameproof enclosures

Components enclosed | All arcing and sparking components are placed within an EEx'd' explosion proof enclosure.

Battery | Battery is designed and tested to EN 60079-7 EEx'e' and fitted with Eex'd' plugs and sockets.

Battery isolator | removes all power from the protected vehicle.
