Explosion Protection
Our solutions are built and certified for European ATEX regulations unless by special arrangement.
Our factories are authorised (notified) within the framework of the ATEX 94/9/EC Directive to produce Category 2 and 3 equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22). These notifications are supported with ISO 9001:2000 Quality Assurance systems.
Category 2G / 2D products (Zone 1/21) must be third party certified and certificates issued by the third party. This is called type approval.
Category 3G / 3D products are placed on the market with Pyroban certification. This is made possible because of the above notifications.
Oil and Gas Industry Pyroban supply certificates of conformity for specific components. These certificates are incorporated into the total certification package for the complete equipment assembly (i.e nitrogen pump, coiled tubing...). Responsibility for certification lies with final packager. Contact us for further information.

Where products require special certification, Pyroban works with the customer to ensure all requirements are met either geographically (i.e South Africa, China, US etc..) or by application (i.e mining). Contact us for further information.
