- Man-up lifts for Eurofighter | Maintaining the Eurofighter jet on man-up lifts could be hazardous from the fuel vapour inside the maintenance hanger being ignited during maintenance work. Pyroban worked with the customer to provide Zone 1 solutions to eliminate the sources of ignition on the man-up lifts.
- Helicopter towing | Helicopter Towing devices can be a source of ignition. The MOD required several devices to work in areas classified as Zone 2 for maintenance work and Pyroban converted all the equipment.
- Service equipment in aircraft maintenance hangers | May not have formally classified areas but an example of where companies utilise added safety in the form of Gascheka to safeguard their investment. This is a gas detection system fitted locally that provides audible alarm and shutdown of equipment on detection of a gas.
- Ground Handling equipment | Ground handling equipment such as push back tractors, low loaders, baggage handlers, cargo lorries, transit vans etc... at airports all cause pollution concerns. Envirosafe provides solutions for all these types of vehicles to reduce emissions and prolong the operational life of each vehicle.
