Spark Arresters

A spark arrester is a device intended to prevent combustible materials, usually sparks or other tiny flaming debris, from escaping into areas where they might start fires.

Diesel Engine exhaust spark arrestors are a basic but key safety feature for both zone classified hazardous areas such as petrochemical, pharmaceutical, paints etc and non-zone classification lower hazardous risk applications such as forestry, agriculture,construction etc  where a stray spark may cause ignition of combustible material.  Virtually all legislation with regard to operating a diesel engine in a hazardous area includes a mandatory requirement to fit a properly tested and approved exhaust spark arrester.

Our range of Spark Arresters consists of Primary, Secondary or Design replacement for OEM silencer, accommodating ratings from 10hp (7.5kW) – 400hp (298kW) available in Stainless Steel in accordance with European ATEX Directive. We can also supply Mild Steel or as an insert into existing silencer for Non ATEX area applications.
