Active Regeneration System - Reducing PM by up to 95%
Part of the Pyroban Envirosafe Active Regeneration range, Acti-Trap™- F is an exhaust particulate filter system with Active Regeneration, allowing for automatic regeneration of the exhaust filter.
Acti-Trap - F is designed for diesel powered equipment commonly operating on low-duty cycles and can also be used on vehicles that do not run on ultra low sulphur diesel (ULSD). This includes smaller commercial vehicle, off-highway equipment such as mobile generators and larger vehicles operating light duty cycles.
Acti-Trap - F can remove up to 95% of Particulate Matter (PM) in the exhaust gas and can be supplied with optional precious metal catalyst, allowing further emission reductions in Hydrocarbons and Carbon Monoxide by up to 95%.
How it Works
Acti-Trap - F is comprised of three primary components; the FBC catalyst dosing system, Satacen 3 and a SiC wall flow filter monitored by a sophisticated electronic control unit (ECU).
The Satacen 3 additive, stored in a separate on-board tank is dosed in precise amounts into the main fuel supply. The FBC additive binds itself to the PM as it is formed during the combustion cycle while any excess additive is returned into the main fuel tank.
The Silicon Carbide wall-flow filter traps PM once it has been catalysed with the Satacen 3 FBC. The particulate is then oxidised within the system filter which is extremely durable, with-standing high regeneration temperatures.
The active regeneration system is based on a programmable control unit that can be optimised to the engine’s duty cycle to ensure a robust filter performance.
