Active Regeneration for engines using Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel
Part of Envirosafe’s range of Active Regeneration Systems, Acti-Trap™-D is designed to operate with a variety of duty cycles and engines operating on Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel (ULSD).
By consistently monitoring the engine speed, temperature and back-pressure Acti-Trap-D calculates when regeneration can take place. When needed, the system injects a controlled amount of diesel fuel into the exhaust in response to the measured parameters to facilitate regeneration.
Acti-Trap-D utilises a catalytic coating to reduce CO and HC and a wall flow filter to reduce PM. It is designed to self regenerate without the need for the operator to intervene; it will seek opportunities created by the normal duty cycle of the vehicle to regenerate the filter.
The system will monitor the data-log and exhaust temperature and back pressure, providing feedback on system performance to the operator by means of a dashboard mounted display unit.
Emission Reduction
Tests conducted by an independent test house have shown that Acti-Trap-D can achieve the following reduction of harmful emissions - NOx reduced by 18% - HC reduced by 74% - PM reduced by 95% - CO reduced by 99%
