Active Explosion Proof Diesel Engine Kits ATEX compliant Pyroban explosion proof kits are available for electronic and mechanical diesel engines operating in Zone 2 hazardous area.
The Active Pyroban kit includes an exhaust gas flametrap elimination system using gas detection (3GP™).
A TYPICAL ZONE 2 PYROBAN KIT
The typical Pyroban Zone 2 explosion proof diesel engine kit includes:
- SVG or SVH inlet shutdown valve which shuts engine down if engine overspeeds and contains integral IIA gas group inlet flame arrestor
- Water cooled exhaust gas cooler which limits surface and exhaust temperatures to the specified temperature class
- Water cooled exhaust flexible which maintains temperature class whilst insulating engine vibration / movement. Fits between the engine’s water cooled turbo charger and the exhaust gas cooler.
- Spark arrestor which stops hot carbon particles exiting the system
- Crankcase / Airbox breather flametrap
- Pyroban Exd flameproof alternator
- Pyroban Exe increased safety battery
- 3GP™ detection system
Explosion proof Zone 2 solutions are usually possible for diesel engines spanning 15 bhp to 2500 bhp.
Supplied in a comprehensive kit format the kits can be fitted by:
- Experienced Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)’s with a quality procedure in place
- Engine distributors
- Equipment users
- Pyroban engineers
