This range of butterfly valves is designed for diesel engine shutdown preventing “over-speeding” if the engine ingests flammable gasses. The design includes a metal to metal plate seal and high temperature bearings for turbo-charged or intercooled engines.
The slim butterfly design has a low pressure drop avoiding loss in engine power. SVH bodies are cast aluminium and are further protected from corrosion by anodising with PTFE impregnation. Other SVH Valve parts are made from corrosion resistant stainless steel.
There are numerous build configurations to suit a wide range of hazardous and non- hazardous applications including a choice of 3”, 5”, 8” SVH Valve sizes, and electric, pneumatic or hydraulic actuation. SVH Valves can be supplied in basic form, with hose ends or with an integral flame trap for the 3” and 5” versions.
